Celestine Quiroga, LMHC
It was not a difficult decision for me to choose to become a therapist.
When I was young, friends and family would reach out to me with their troubles and concerns, always knowing that their innermost secrets could be safe with me; that they would find caring and useful counsel.
I enjoyed then as I do now, to see those I have worked with overcome their issues and live happier and more fulfilling lives.
Having grown up in the Mid-West, it comes naturally for me to feel connected and empathize with the troubles of others. When given the opportunity, my personal approach allows me to deeply connect and understand my clients’ issues.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and a Master’s Degree from Nova Southeastern University. I am licensed in the State of Florida as a Mental Health Counselor (MH#12300).
For the past 10 years I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of community settings. I have advanced professional training and experience with substance abuse and dual diagnosis. I am skilled in the resolution of traumatic experiences and have specialized training in an evidence-based treatment, called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). By learning advanced treatment concepts and interventions, I have the ability to personalize and tailor treatment approaches to fit each unique personal situation.
